When filtering websites, you can choose to block them completely (shown in red in the screenshot), or to allow them but receive a notification that a questionable site was visited (shown in yellow in the screenshot). In my testing this worked very well. I had set Entertainment sites to issue a warning, and got a series of e-mails when Jimmy visited Rolling Stone and YouTube. You can also choose to receive daily or weekly summary reports.
With premium, additional features include app blocking, location tracking, time controls by device and for Android devices you can also set up calls/SMS text message monitoring. You also have access to 30 days of reports while on the free version you only have 7 days of activity history.
The Qustodio Family portal is easy to use and navigate, and gives you a colorful overview of recent usage history. You’ll have a full navigation history of web sites visited, and can easily hone in on questionable activity.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a parental control/monitoring solution for computers along with your iOS and Android devices, Qustodio is a very easy-to-use and thorough solution. The free version is great for smaller families sharing one device and you want to enforce time limits, monitor web usage and set web restrictions. The full featured premium, starting at $54.95/year (discounts may pop up after the trial ends!) is reasonably priced for use on up to 5 devices.
